Day Three -Waiake Beach Walk - Friday 31st March   

10.30am, returning around 2.30pm.

Children will need...

• morning tea and lunch (no lunch orders)
• a bottle of water
• Uniform - for safety reasons please send children to school in uniform
• school hat and sun block
• polar fleece (optional)
• Togs and towel
• Sensible shoes for walking to the beach and exploring rock pools   (NO JANDALS or BAREFEET)

Kawau Team (Year 3) E.O.T.C                                  29.03.17 Thank you for helping us to change plans due to the weather today.  We had a great day inside collaborating, communicating and creating.  We also had loads of FUN! Sadly we are postponing the wheels activities today due to the weather.

Please DO NOT bring bikes and scooters to school today.

We may do this tomorrow depending on the weather.

Writing across New Zealand

As part of a programmed to encourage children to write and share their writing with others.  We have been given a buddy class, which is part of a small rural school in South of Whangarei.  The school has around 26 children.  This week we received their courier bag with a poster covered in interesting information about the class and 32 postcards.  Next week, we will have ours in a courier post envelope ready to be picked up from school and delivered to Waiotiri Primary School.  

This week we excitedly opened the pack and read the postcards covered in metaphors and put the puzzle together.  We are putting it in our classroom window so everyone can see both sides of the postcards.

At last we solved the puzzle...
